Inside outside suit

In my work I try to capture the unseen processes which take place in and around the body. For this project I made the 'inside outside suit' which shows the exact positions of the organs, meridians and chakra's in the body. I will now explain how these function in more detail.

According to Taoist tradition every organ has its own positive emotional state of being, however, negative tensions incline to store up here. Each organ has its own color or vibration to help it regain and remain its natural force.Additionally each organ has its own meridian to transport its particular energy throughout the body. The used meridians derive from the Traditional Chinese Medicine. A blockade in one of those streams shows a disbalance of the organ. Whereas a free flow supports circulation of positive energy and removes negativity.

The chakra's find their origin in Indian traditions. They form seven gates to attract and excrete energy. Those gates are accesible for negative energy to heap up and blockade the natural flow. The chakra's are dealing with various qualities of energy getting more delicate reaching the crown. A free flow benefits harmony on every level.

By wearing this suit I get more conscious of the circulating energy, it also offers space for my positive nature to develop. Within this flowing energy I create room for negative tensions to drift off. My 'inside outside suit' stimulates these processes in both a sensitive and meditative manner.
