Ovary Palace Construction and performance on a quiet and windy beach in Zeeland, The Netherlands The Ovary Palace was a gigantic construction representing my feminine organs. The performance existed in the reprogramming of the energetic bodypart and actually being able to enter the organ to carry through some, for wellness necessary, changes. It was constructed in a transparant and delicate manner making use of natural materials. The use of bamboo and wool was time-consuming in a positive way and lead to a pleasant and joyful meditative reconstruction of the physical structure. The process of building, being present and deconstruction took four hours. Within this process and some time after I effected, together with the three co-performers and also most important men in my life, my father, my boyfriend and my brother, some important changes on relational, feminine acceptance, physical and mental level. By making this performance I created the opportunity to positively reprogramm the entire mental and physical atmosphere of my ovaries and whomb from a somewhat disorded into an ordered state within the reality of me and my co-performers. During the process the environmental surroundings gave their support; the sand gave room for being something else, the wind blew the surplusses and the sea took the remains. |
